Seize The Day

Seize The Day

Soon all of us will be food for worms. We all thus ought to make life extraordinary; make every moment count, for the clock is ticking, and we are using up moment by moment this valuable gift called life. Do not spend a moment in idle counting or useless speech; lest everything is in vanity after all, we must make this life count, all before this possibly conceitful 'after' comes... which, i hope is not conceitful or in vanity after all, thus making all the moments that were not spent in idleness, count even more... in the 'after-all'. If, you know what I mean.. : )

In the vastness of this universe, it is doubtful that our average-seventy-year lives even count at all, or even if the presence of the mere millions of years humanity collectively has existed makes a difference after all either, since whatever is made on this planet by us, the building and the monuments and else we have labored to create, might well end up of no use in spite of everything in the end, or once the sun has swallowed it all for instance, if nothing else happens before of course. If earth is seen from far away, it seems a blue dot, then from even further, it vanishes into insignificance; with just nothing to keep this fragile vessel intact from the universe's power, from becoming a minute prey to its overwhelming magnitude at any instance, our daily lives and what we worry for and fight amongst ourselves so often, carrying so much about all these desires, are such piteous acts of vanity and a waste of this most-precious, but very short gift, called life.

Seize the Day,
everyone ought to be dedicating themselves thus to higher deeds, in order to even show gratitude for their very existence; not necessarily show gratitude to a god, or any metaphysical power if someone does not believe in those, but show gratitude to their existence itself: to demonstrate kindness, and selflessness is a start, and also thereafter one ought to dedicate one's self into a love for wisdom, before all else, because this activity grants a conscientiousness for all other activities. Finally, one should never live solely to work, but merely work enough to live, whereby one can afford the time to dedicate their self to higher deeds. Life is too short to be slaves of a social system, or for chasing after material goods. Produce excellence in anything you deal with. Time is always enough for those who use their time wisely, and seventy years thus, can be enough for those who seize the day.

A very good way to begin to seize the day right now, would be to stop using facebook; it is the definition of absolute procrastination: and partially the reason why i wrote this. If you realize the time you've wasted on this site, during which you could have produced anything more than an absolute zero in all endeavors, then you would also think of the multitude of other idle moments you've spent doing nothing in different ways. Perhaps it is time for me to stop writing and for you to get off this useless site and do something important.
